We’re thrilled to share that 3 powerful works by Helene Schmitz are featured in a landmark exhibition that opened this week at the National Museum in Stockholm.

The exhibition The Romantic Eye offers a broad view of 19th-century Romanticism, highlighting its emotional depth and mysterious imagery that continues to resonate today. It explores how Romanticism invites viewers to engage personally, breaking down the boundaries between art and reality, while showcasing works from notable artists like Caspar David Friedrich and Eugène Delacroix, along with contemporary pieces that reflect the movement's ongoing influence.

Helene Schmitz is represented by 3 works in the exhibition;
Studies in Falling, Studies in Falling/The Island, and the Highland View from the Kudzu Series, works that encourage personal reflection and connection.

The exhibition is brilliantly curated by Carl Johan Olsson. LINK
